Senior Scientist

Allton is expanding and now searching for a Senior Scientist to be part of a highly competent research team, developing the next generation modelling and inversion methods for marine electromagnetic data. 

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Main Work Tasks: 

  • Research and implement modelling and inversion methods for marine electromagnetic data

Other responsibilities:

  • Document the design and upgrades to new products 
  • Prepare reports, publications and oral presentations
  • Continuous development of scientific and programming skills 

Education

  • PhD in physics, geophysics or numerical mathematics

Experience

  • Experience with modelling, imaging and inversion of electromagnetic or seismic data
     

Skills

  • Strong scientific and numerical skills
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Good programming skills in Python, C++ or FORTRAN
  • Excellent written and oral skills

Work location

  • Primary location Stavanger
  • Other locations to be considered for the right candidate
